Google Street View reaches southern Brazil

Google Street View covers new municipalities in São Paulo and Minas Gerais

After releasing a first batch of Google Street View images for the southern region of Brazil, the Mountain View giant announced on Wednesday the expansion of the resource to new municipalities in São Paulo and Minas Gerais.

Although we do not have an official list of the new municipalities that have been added to the service (you can help us by sending us comments!), We noticed a range of new images by the cities of Piracicaba, Campos do Jordão, Tietê, Sorocaba and Cerquilho; and in the mining towns of Juiz de Fora, Barbacena and São João Del Rei.

According to Diego Nogueira, Google’s software engineer, the company’s cars continue to circulate in several states in Brazil. “We have no way of giving a period between the time it takes from the passage of the car until the photo is on the website”.

Portal de Campos de Jordão, now you can visit the city from the comfort of your home and without getting cold. 🙂
