Google announced on Thursday (7) news for the World Cup in Russia and for the 2018 elections in Brazil. With new features in Search, Trends, Assistant and map and location services, the company promises to improve the experience of users during major events. Thus, the visualization of information will be faster and easier, with content done natively for the search engine, without the need to enter external websites and applications to receive the data in real time.
Developed especially for football fans and in partnership with FIFA, the news within Google search will allow you to follow the World Cup and tournaments in real time. In the search tool, users will be able to see statistics, news, schedule, photos, comments and summaries on videos of important plays of each match. In addition, each selection will have an exclusive space for athlete publications.

To reinforce the experience in real time, Google also developed a widget to fix the score of important games on the home screen of the Android phone or tablet. Widget is an element that facilitates the user's access to software in general, and the novelty allows to follow the match while using other applications on the cell phone.
In case of any doubt, the Assistant will be prepared to answer specific questions about the competition, such as which team will be left out with this result and how many times the two countries have already faced each other.

Google Trends, a site that allows you to follow the main trends and interests of the public based on searches made on the search engine, will also be active during the World Cup with interactive data. The information will be available in Portuguese for Brazilians with categories for each country.
For those who want to follow the World Cup away from home, Google promises to help with a special list of places to watch the games in 13 cities in Latin America. From June 14, the start date of the World Cup, a soccer ball icon will also appear in the Highlights section of the survey, indicating that the place was marked as good for watching sports.
