Google Photos reaches 50 billion photos and videos

Just four months after leaving Google+ to become a standalone product, Google announced this week that Google Photos users have already uploaded 50 billion photos and videos to the service.

In addition to the giant numbers, the Mountain View giant also plans to launch three new features in the Android and iOS application: the return of Chromecast support, private labels and album sharing.

Google Photos offers unlimited free storage in high quality – for photos up to 16 megapixels and videos up to 1080p.
