Google Navigation can win offline version

According to industry rumors, the Mountain View giant may implement a feature for viewing maps offline in Google Navigation on phones equipped with the Android platform.

Currently, in Google Maps 5, Google offers the possibility to partially view the routes in offline mode but depends on the internet connection for a more complete navigation (or in case of extreme change in the user’s route).

For the AllAboutPhones blog, a solution to solve the problem would be to download maps, possibly available through the Android Market. Other bloggers, however, believe that the new resource may have some cost.
