Google Maps app will arrive on iOS 6 at Christmas

According to sources at The Guardian, Google is “enjoying the bad publicity” that Apple has been suffering from spontaneous media due to its map service with serious data problems.

In addition to non-existent regions, Apple Maps users have reported problems with street names. In Brazil, for example, the name of the city of São Paulo can be found with an irregular accent, something grotesque like “Saõ Paulo”.

The sources, however, report that a Google Maps application should be released for iOS 6 by the end of the year (Christmas Eve) but will depend on Apple to release it (Apple does not allow apps to compete with existing features ” ).

If you need to use Google’s map service, you can use the mobile version (within the browser) or downgrade to iOS 5 to get the native app again.
