Google has implemented a new Gmail login system that requires users to give an additional click when entering their credentials. In addition, the login is now able to display the email owner's avatar before the password is entered in the corresponding box.
According to the company, the change was implemented to prepare the product for a new "future authentication system" that will complement the passwords. The searcher does not reveal details of what is coming, but some American blogs report a supposed integration with Android's "Smart Lock".
With the change, most password managers no longer work with the new Gmail login screen, although it may be a temporary situation.
