Google Hangouts wins independent Google+ website

Following the same path as Google Photos, Google today announced that Hangouts will operate independently of Google+ by introducing its own website.

In other words, it is very reminiscent of a recently launched Facebook Messenger feature that also offers users an exclusive website for those who just use the chat service.

“We’re launching another way to use Hangouts today. From our new website, you’ll be able to enjoy the best of Hangouts in the browser, along with an inspiring image to get you through the day, ”published Jordanna Chord, Google’s engineering team.

In addition to Messenger, WhatsApp and Telegram also offer websites built especially for desktop access.
