Google for Nonprofit arrives in Portugal with free tools for non-profit organizations

The COVID-19 pandemic is having a profound impact on numerous sectors of the economy and society, including non-profit organizations. In response to the needs of the communities in question, the Google Nonprofits team has expanded the support program to six new countries and Portugal is included. The arrival of the program in Portuguese lands also brings discounts for non-profit organizations that use the G Suite.

In addition to Portugal, Greece, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Peru also become part of the initiative that is present in 57 countries. In a statement on the official blog of Google Portugal, Isha Mishra, responsible for the technology giant's program, explains that non-profit organizations will be able to activate G Suite for Nonprofits at no additional cost, which includes cloud storage, professional email and email domain with company name, Gmail, Docs and Calendar.

Up to September 30, the G Suite version also includes the advanced features of Google Meet, allowing, for example, videoconferences for up to 100 people. In response to the crisis, the company expanded the Ad Grants program to 10,000 dollars by October 2020. The YouTube Nonprofit program and Google Earth and Maps also offer storytelling tools to help organizations have more impact.

Google Nonprofit is also offering global discounts for the Business and Enterprise editions of G Suite. The first edition has a discount of 8 dollars and the second has a discount of 17 dollars.
