Google extends free calls via Gmail by 2011

At the end of August, by launching the possibility of make phone calls from within Gmail, Google announced that calls made to the United States and Canada would be free by the end of this year.

But Christmas spirit has affected the people at Mountain View, and Google has announced that it will extend free calls by the end of next year. “To help people stay in touch in the new year, we are extending free calls to 2011,” the company said.
