Google buys more mobile phone patents

With Microsoft and Apple declaring open war on Android, via attack on cellphone manufacturers for copyright infringement, Google attacks, buying patents.

First, it proposed to buy (and hope to complete the deal) Motorola Mobility, which has 17,000 confirmed patents and another 7,500 pending registration. Soon after, he bought another 2,000, from IBM. Today, the Wall Street Journal reported that the search giant (and now also mobile telephony, bought, at the beginning of the month, a batch of patents belonging to Canadian company Masaid.

I wouldn't be surprised if this patent run continues to be quite hot, with Google buying, for example, Interdigital, which owns 8,800 registered patents and another 10,000 applications for registration. It is valued at USD $ 2.42 billion.
