Google accuses the new Microsoft Edge of security breach in its extensions

Everyone knows that Google and Microsoft use each other's technologies. Recently the technology came from Google, which is being used in Microsoft's new browser, Edge, which is based on Chromium. But, as always, there is a feud between browsers and of course the developer of Chrome would not stop poking at the new browser from the company responsible for Windows.

According to Google, people who are browsing the internet should use the Chrome browser to Edge, as the extensions in their browser have more security. When you visit the Chrome store on Microsoft Edge, a banner appears saying:

"Google recommends switching to Chrome to use extensions safely."

No information is provided from Google about which security issues would affect users of the Edge browser. Microsoft, although it has received the complaint about the lack of security of its browser, has not yet issued an opinion on the case. While nothing happens, it is possible to install any Chrome extension on Microsoft Edge.

While it is not clear why Chrome extensions affect Microsoft Edge security, it is a routine practice for browser developers to pin themselves for some reason. Microsoft recently put the following message on the Windows 10 start menu:

"Are you still using Firefox? Microsoft Edge is here."
