Since it was launched, the Instagram it has a simple limitation but it is sometimes uncomfortable: photos and videos are all square. You can even do gambiarras, but there are always white or black spaces on the sides.
Today, that limitation is being lifted.
As of version 7.5, Instagram now also accepts vertical (portrait mode) and horizontal (landscape mode) photos / videos, allowing everyone to express themselves on the social network in any way they prefer. When posting something, just touch the proportion icon in the bottom left corner to adjust it the way you want.
Square always has been and will be part of who we are. Were glad that moments of every format will now feel at home on Instagram.

Today's update also makes all Instagram filters “universal”, meaning there are no more filters for photos and other different filters for videos.
Who knew, huh
