Google announced an increase in Gmail's capacity by allowing the service to receive emails with attachments up to 50 MB in size.
"Starting today, you will be able to receive emails of up to 50 MB," Google published. "Upload size limits will remain the same at 25 MB."
For file uploads larger than 25 MB, Google recommends using Google Drive's file storage service for large file sharing.
Implementation of the new limits is being phased in and may take up to 3 days to reach all Gmail accounts.
