Gmail gains new interface for smartphones

Google announced that Gmail will receive a new interface for the phone (Android and iOS), adopting Material Design, launched by the search engine in 2014.

Along with the new interface, Gmail has also improved the attachment viewing feature to make it simpler.

The option to switch between personal and corporate accounts was also optimized.

«Now, just like on the web, the user will receive red notices to alert them when something in the account looks strange,» says Google.

“With regard to attachments, interaction has also become easier.

As part of the new design, you can quickly view photos or PDF files without having to open or scroll through the conversation.

In addition, it will be even easier to switch between personal and corporate accounts, through the new button located next to the search bar, so that the user can access all his e-mails without difficulty ”.

The updates align with the newly launched web version of Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar and, more recently, Google Docs and Sheets.

The new smartphone design in Gmail is now available for Android and iOS.
