Google has released a new update to the Gmail interface for iOS (iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad) that brings a new feature that makes it possible to update the webmail inbox by swiping down the screen.
Originally launched by Tweetie 2 – acquired later by Twitter – the functionality was described as a “break of paradigms” in the way that content updates used to behave on devices.
«Instead of separating a space for an update button, just pull the timeline down and new content will appear at the top, in chronological and intuitive order», informed the company at the time.
