Gmail for Android with automatic message adjustment and swipe to archive or delete

Google today announced a new version of the Gmail app for Android, available for free on its Google Play store, which incorporates some new features.

Available only for devices running Android 4.0 (or higher), Gmail now offers easier reading of messages by including an automatic adjustment and zoom effect.

«With this latest version, you can now choose to have e-mails resized to fit the screen perfectly and also offers zoom for a more detailed look,» published the Google team.

Deleting or archiving messages is also much easier. In the inbox, users can now configure an option to slide their finger left or right to delete or archive messages.

Google also disclosed in its Google+ account that the new Gmail application works better with attached images, in addition to allowing the upload of videos.

ā€œWhen you open a message with photo attachments, you will see thumbnails of each photo. Touch one of the images to go to a gallery of all the photos. And speaking of attachments, now you can attach videos that you shot on your phone ā€, concluded the company.
