Google is experimenting with an e-mail hosting and account management service for businesses, universities and other organizations that allows them to keep their names at email. Those interested in testing «Gmail for your domain» will be able to sign up from www.google.com/hosted.
Gmail for domains offers 2 GB of storage, search tools for email and a control panel for mailbox management and mailing lists.
According to a post at the blog official Google, the only institution to take advantage of the new service so far is the University of San José City, in the USA, which provides its students with Gmail accounts, but with the domain @ jaguars.sjcc.edu.
In addition to the indication of the name of the associated domain, the registration to enjoy the service requires the introduction of some data, such as the number of addresses required, as well as the reasons why the solution is to be used.
