Globo Play gets live programming from Globo Nordeste

Watching TV Globo programming is free. Through Globo Play, internet users only need to login with their profile on or Facebook. With this new addition, the metropolitan region of Recife joins four other Brazilian cities: Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Brasília and Belo Horizonte.

The launch of Globo Play took place in October 2015. TV Globo’s video center offers the function of simulcasting, which replicates on the internet, in streaming format, the same content that is broadcast by the broadcaster on an open channel.

Globo Play also acts as a repository for Globo’s programs, for those who don’t want to watch it in real time. The user freely accesses contents of the station’s show line and scenes from soap operas. Full editions of the newscasts “NETV”, “Jornal Nacional” or “Jornal da Globo” are also available to the Internet user, without paying for it. Directly from prime time on TV to the screen of a cell phone or computer, full chapters of soap operas such as “A Força do Querer” or “Malhação” are reserved for subscribers.

Check below the list of cities with access to Globo Play with live video. The data were provided by TV Globo’s press office. When entering the service via PC or smartphone, the user must authorize access to the geographic location. Through GPS, the system detects the access region and releases the transmission.
