GFI Internacional starts to be managed from Portugal

The so far country manager of GFI Portugal, José Henriques, will start to lead GFI International.

The organization manages all of the group’s businesses outside France and will be commanded from Portugal.

José Henriques, 43, has run GFI’s Portuguese operation since 2001 and has guaranteed a 160 percent growth in turnover over the past five years, making Portugal the fastest growing branch in the last five years .

The GFI group has a turnover of 688 million euros, of which 4 percent is provided by Portugal and 69 percent by France, the company’s home country.

The new manager aims to grow business outside the domestic market and ensure that by 2011 they represent more than half of the turnover.

GFI Internacional has operations in Portugal, Spain, Italy, Canada, Morocco, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and Luxembourg.

José Henriques was one of the founders of Compuquali and had also worked for CPC – Companhia Portuguesa de Computadores, as Systems Engineer for open systems and for HP Portugal, where he worked as a trainer and solutions and products consultant.
