Bob Geldof launched an Internet portal dedicated to peace and the resolution of world conflicts. The Peace Channel, the name given to the channel, includes a video section, photo gallery, discussion forums and content related to the current world, produced by the users themselves or by organizations of global action.

The launch of the portal was supported and collaborated by Bob Geldof’s media company, Ten Alps, and the human rights association Peace Channel Foundation. Other support comes from the Kids Rights Foundation, the World Trade Centers Association and the Norwegian government. The content presented on the channel is provided by the Geldof company subsidiary, Brook Lapping.

On the channel’s debut day, a documentary about violence in Kenya over the past year and an interview with the Prime Minister of that country, Raila Odinga, was shown.
