According to The Next Web, gamer Chad Boughton decided to turn his old Game Boy into a nostalgic gamepad for the Galaxy Nexus.

To make the gaming mod work, he used the insides of the Wii remote and the Wii Controller IME app to communicate via Bluetooth. In addition, Boughton had to cut the Game Boy and remove its original circuits.

“I wanted to play on Nintendo emulators on my phone, but I don’t like the touch screen. I saw a great demand for commercially produced solutions, but I wanted something more. I wanted to improve the experience of actually playing on Nintendo’s classic hardware, and at the same time not having to connect via USB ”, published the gamer.

In case you intend to replicate the project above, Boughton provided a tutorial that can be changed for any Android device.
