The introduction of motion sensors in the new gamepads for Nintendo’s Wii and Sony’s Playstation 3 consoles is ensuring a new highlight for video game control accessories. During the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), which takes place in Los Angeles, the brands showed the novelties of controllers that will reach the market this year with the new generation of conoslas.
Nintendo’s Wii and Sony’s Playstation 3 will be able to guarantee with the new gamepads an advantage over the Xbox 360, launched last November. Nintendo had already revealed last year that the new type of control adopted would be one of the bets to win over a new type of users, who usually do not use video games, but Sony ends up joining the traditional concept of gamepad identifying user movements.
The new gamepad the PS3 has a design similar to the PS2 but includes a system of six motion sensors, although some experts present at the event cited by the international press consider that the technology used does not appear to be as sophisticated as that of the Nintendo controller.
