Gameloft will launch the first LEGO RPG game for iPhones

Without a doubt, this is a busy year for game developers: among the announcement of several highly anticipated titles in the coming months (such as Harry Potter: Wizards Unite and Mario Kart Tour), we will also have the launch of the Apple Arcade, a gaming platform of the Apple.

Now, to add even more anticipation to 2019, Gameloft has announced that it will launch a new RPG game from the LEGO universe for iOS and Android, called LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed, as the PhoneArena.

In reality, Gameloft had already mentioned, last December, that it would launch a LEGO game later this year, but did not release much information at that time. According to the French studio, this is the first LEGO game in the RPG genre and aims to bring 40 years of history and universes of the well-known minifigures to life «in a fun and epic way».

Apparently, the game will be set in a completely new LEGO world – players will have to collect classic and modern LEGO minifigures / sets to create new teams, and participate in battles and adventures with other players.

LEGO Legacy will feature fan-favorite universes, from the oldest to the youngest, recreating them in incredible detail to please players of all ages, including passionate collectors and those who want to bring back childhood memories. Gameloft has been working closely with the LEGO group for several years, including visits to the LEGO vault in Billund (Denmark), where all the sets and minifigures already created are archived. LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed will be true to the fun and creativity that make the LEGO brand one of the most loved brands on Earth.

Although Gameloft did not specifically disclose the game’s release date, it is expected that the novelty will arrive between September and December this year on the App Store and Google Play, as seen in the trailer above. Furthermore, there is no information on whether the game will be free or paid, but it is likely that it will fall into the category of titles freemium.
