For the Minister of Culture, Sérgio Sá Leitão, research data from FGV show the multiplier effect that Game XP has for the national market. “I am sure that among the volume of visitors who passed through the event, there are many people who, from now on, start to have a new look at the games sector. Not only as consumers, but also as a professional alternative ”, he points out.

To conduct the research, FGV interviewed 445 people, between 6 and 8 August. The survey considered the participation of almost 100 thousand people in four days of the event. From the previous surveys, there was a broader view of the importance and growth of the market. “Between 2012 and 2016, the average annual growth of the games sector was 28.7%, with an estimated growth of 16.5% per year until 2021. The games market is the 13th in the world, the largest in America Latin America and should double in revenue by 2021 ”, said Sérgio Sá Leitão, Minister of Culture.
