Game consoles in 30% of Portuguese households

Recent data from Marktest show that 30 percent of Portuguese people aged between 15 and 64, resident in mainland Portugal, have a game console in their homes.

The possession of this device is greater among males, who maintain a difference of 10 percentage points compared to the opposite sex – 35 and 25 percent, respectively.

Individuals aged between 35 and 44 years old have the most consoles in their homes (43%), as opposed to the age group between 55 and 64 years old, registering only eight percent.

Large urban centers have an advantage compared to the rest of the country, with Lisbon leading with 37 percent, followed by the city of Porto, with 33 percent. According to Marktest data, the lowest concentration of consoles is registered in the North Coast.
