According to friends of Gemind and Diário do Android, the Brazilian version of the Galaxy Nexus – the first device with Android 4.0 (ICS) – could reach the national market under a different name: Galaxy X.
At least it is the name that Samsung has already started displaying on its page focused on the new product. With visual features and specifications similar to the original Galaxy Nexus, the Galaxy X does not appear to be a variation of the smartphone that has Google’s partnership.
Was it just a temporary name? A few days ago, Samsung’s social channels, mainly on Twitter and Facebook, even cited the name “Galaxy Nexus” to their consumers, which causes some strangeness.
We contacted Samsung to find out more about it.
