Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 + arrive in Brazil

Samsung announced the arrival of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 + to Brazil, both equipped with the Android 7.0 Nougat mobile platform.

Available with 5.8-inch (Galaxy S8) and 6.2-inch (Galaxy S8 +) screens, the new generation of the Galaxy S line features an ‘infinite display’ and a borderless, button-free design. Rounded angles can be found on both models.

Inside, the Galaxy S8 comes with an octa-core Exynos processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage (support for MicroSD up to 256GB). It also offers HDR video playback and IP68 certification for protection against water and dust.

Regarding the cameras, the device has a front with a resolution of 8 megapixels and the rear of 12 megapixels with super bright lens (f / 1.7) with dual pixel.

The new devices offer a USB-C connector for recharging the 3,000 (S8) or 3,500 (S8 +) mAH battery, as well as supporting fast wired and wireless charging.

S8 is the first Samsung device to come with the Bixby virtual assistant capable of helping users with Samsung’s own apps and resources, including camera, contacts, gallery, messages and settings.

Samsung also announced the arrival of the Nova Gear 360 and Gear VR Com Controle to Brazil. Including the Samsung DeX platform that turns the Galaxy S8 into a desktop environment similar to that of a computer.

The pre-sale period for the Galaxy S8 and Galxy S8 + starts on April 18th and runs through May 11th. The new smartphones will hit stores across Brazil from May 12, in three colors: amethyst, black and silver.

Manufactured locally, the suggested prices are R $ 3,999.00 for the Galaxy S8 and R $ 4,399.00 for the Galaxy S8 +.

The new Gear 360 has a suggested price of R $ 1,999.00, the Samsung Gear VR with Control has a suggested price of R $ 799.00 and the Samsung Dex R $ 649.00. All products arrive in stores on May 12th.
