Some Galaxy S6 owners are reporting that there is a difference in sensor used on some models of the same device. According to a test posted on XDA forum, a particular model presented the sensor Exmor (IMX240) of Sony, while the other featured the ISOCELL (S5K4E6) made by Samsung itself. Testing concludes that under low light conditions ISOCELL, made by Samsung, captured vivid colors with good fidelity. Sony's IMX240 sensor reproduced warmer colors, greater clarity and more depth. Remembering that there are no differences in model numbering or chipset used by the manufacturer.
So far Samsung has not clarified why there is this variation in the sensors of the Galaxy S6. The situation similar to Galaxy Note 4, which in its version packed by Exynos has its own sensor, while the version with Snapdragon 805 equipped with the Sony component.
