Galaxy S20 Ultra disappoints in endurance test

On February 11, Samsung made the Galaxy S20 line official, giving consumers the possibility to choose between three models: S20, S20 + and S20 Ultra. The latter, which is the most powerful, brings specifications worthy of a top of the line and a number of interesting features, such as "Space Zoom", which offers zoom up to 100x.

These and other features make the Galaxy S20 Ultra one of the best smartphones in the world at the moment, but is it tough? Seeking to remedy this debt, the staff of Cnet performed a resistance test with Samsung's new flagship, and even offering Gorilla Glass 6 protection, the results were disappointing.

The main idea was to simulate everyday falls in the hands and pockets. Therefore, the site recorded frontal, rear and lateral falls, from a height of about 1.5 meters. In the first test, the Galaxy S20 Ultra's rear window cracked from end to end. This makes it very clear that Corning's new technology does not appear to be as effective.

The following tests also did not show encouraging results, as the front glass suffered considerable damage to the curved edges, despite the film sent by Samsung having been applied to the screen. Interestingly, the camera module proved to be very resistant, because even after several falls, it did not show scratches, except at the edges.

Recalling that Samsung Brazil confirmed the launch of the Galaxy S20 line in our country. The event will take place on March 11 and all versions will be sold here.
