Galaxy M40 receives OneUI 2.0 based on Android 10

After the Galaxy M20 and M30, Samsung started releasing Android 10 to another smartphone. This time, it is the Galaxy M40, an intermediary of the South Korean brand that was launched in July last year.

As with other models, the device is receiving the OneUI Core 2.0 instead of the full version of OneUI 2.0. This means that some features have been left out, such as the native screen recorder.

However, all the standard new features of Android 10 are present, as well as those of Samsung's own interface, such as improved privacy and location controls, choice of navigation gestures and intelligent responses, for example.

This new update, which features the firmware version "M405FDDU2BTB5" and weighs 1.7GB, also includes the March security patch, making the system more secure against attacks and break-ins.

At the moment, Android 10 can be downloaded via OTA only in India, but if everything goes well with the distribution and no critical error is detected by Samsung, other regions should receive the update in the coming days or weeks.

Before carrying out the installation, check the amount of battery available to avoid disconnections during the process, we recommend at least 50%. It is also advisable to perform a backup of your data.
