Samsung could not let another month go by without launching any other intermediate device. The company’s new bets for this segment are the Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5. The devices come with a front flash next to a 5 MP camera, which responds to the voice command and has an 85º aperture for panoramic selfies. Check out the spec comparison below.
Galaxy J5 vs. Galaxy J7: Price and availability
Both devices were presented by Samsung last Wednesday (8/19), in São Paulo. The new devices that make up the J series will be available for sale in the month of August in three color options: white, black and gold.
The Galaxy J5 will be marketed for R $ 949.00, while the Galaxy J7 will cost R $ 1,299.00. The company will market the models through its website and physical store, in addition to authorized resellers and partner retailers. Below you can see the differences between the specifications of both models.
Galaxy J5 vs. Galaxy J7: Camera
The camera is the great differentiator of these new models. According to Samsung, they were created to make life easier for the user when shooting, anytime and anywhere. The camera can be activated from a double click on the physical “home” button, characteristic of the Galaxy line. Both on the Galaxy J5 and J7 the rear camera has 13MP accompanied by an LED flash.
Improvements can be seen through the front camera. Both devices have a secondary sensor of 5MP with an opening of 85º in the angle of view. The panoramic mode of this sensor allows selfies to be captured up to 120 degrees. The lens has an aperture of f / 1.9, which means that both devices capture more light in low light situations.
Galaxy J5 vs. Galaxy J7: Technical Specifications
Both devices leave the factory running on Android Lollipop 5.0.2 and the TouchWiz user interface. The Galaxy J7 is packaged by the 1.5 GHz Exynos 7580 octa-core processor, with 1.5 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. The Galaxy J5 has the same amount of RAM and storage as the other model, but is packaged by the 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor.
Samsung has brought Dual-SIM 4G connectivity to its new models, although the slots do not work simultaneously on that frequency. Below you can check the specifications table for both models:
