Futuristic “MacBook Pro Touch” concept eliminates physical keyboard

First, I must admit that I am a fan of the physical keyboard. Despite loving the iPhone and all the change gadget Caused in the smartphone market, my old favorite device was the BlackBerry primacy, precisely because of the physical QWERTY keyboard feeling that I can experience only on computers (until at least the following concept does not come true).

The designer Furkan Kasap took to Behance a show of what could be called “MacBook Pro Touch”is a possible (?) future Apple notebook that enhances the functions and features of Touch Bar.

From the video above, you can see that when you start "MacBook Pro Touch", the fictional "Apple Touch" would appear in place on the keyboard, giving way to a great key and feature scheme that we'll understand next.

At the top you can see that some Touch Bar functions have been preserved, such as the option to switch between apps and set some shortcuts for specific activities and software. Despite the concept's futuristic tone, the designer decided to retrofit a feature of the past well known to owners of older iPhones, iPads, and iPods: the slide-to-unlock (combined with Touch ID technology).

Just below is a Portuguese keyboard (note the cedilla key) displayed, and this time it also needs to make room for the trackpad that has been relocated to the right, but could be dragged to any region of the keyboard as it would “float” over the keys. Personally, I would need to test to see if the trackpad + keyboard in the same place would be a productive combination.

In addition to the new design, for the first time Apple's big app suite would get even more features and functionality on the MacBook Pro through the “Apple Touch”. Just as on the iPad or iPhone, users could customize the order of the most commonly used software for quick access, as well as keep their favorite contacts in navigation, just a tap away to send them an email or an iMessage.

And what's your opinion about the "MacBook Pro Touch"? If you want to check out other images and videos of this design, just check out the Kasap page on Behance.
