Sapo opens laboratory at the University of Aveiro

Fujitsu-Siemens presented its new line of notebooks for the professional segment, Esprimo Mobile. The new line consists of three models with standard UMTS connection, thanks to the introduction of a slot for SIM card across the board. The differentiation between models is basically made at the level of screen sizes, since in the hardware the two base options available can be used on any of the three models.

At the level of hardware the user can thus choose between the chipset Intel GM965, with a Core2Duo processor up to 2.4 GHz and the ICH 8-M chipset, for the Intel Celeron M processor at 1.86 GHz, both with the Intel X3100 graphics card.

Regarding the screens, the U9200 has a 12.1 ‘inch screen and a weight of 1.80 kg, with battery. The U9400 model features a 14.1 ‘inch screen and a total weight of 2.1 kg, while the U9500 model has a 15.4’ inch screen and a 1280 by 800 pixel WXGA resolution, with a WXGA + option that increases the resolution to 1400 by 900 pixels and a weight of 2.5 kg.

The connectivity characteristics are also mostly shared by the whole range that offers WLAN access, Ethernet port, USB 2.0, Bluetooth, slots for memory cards and Express Card, direct S-Video output and specific port for Docking Station with interface repeater.

Fujitsu-Siemens intends to position the Esprimo Mobile line in the middle and entry ranges of its professional offer. The three models are already available on the Portuguese market, with prices starting at 1,299 euros.
