Fujifilm announces X-T4 mirrorless camera with body stabilization system and flip LCD screen

Fujifilm today announced its new fourth generation mirrorless camera: the Fujifilm X-T4. Among its highlights, we have the image stabilization system in the camera body and the LCD touchscreen that became a flip display.

Externally, the X-T4 is very similar to its predecessor, the X-T3 launched in 2018. They use the same sensor CMOS X-Trans 4 26.1 megapixel and contains the same chip X Processor 4. However, the evolution of the new camera promises to make it "an irresistible update for some people".

First, the biggest highlight of the new product is the stabilization system inside your body. The X-T4 is the second camera in the Fujifilm line with IBIS, a system that helps you take sharp pictures at low shutter speeds and "explore the maximum quality of Fujifilm lenses". The first to receive it was the model X-H1, but the IBIS of the new camera uses hands instead of springs. In addition, 18 of the X-mount lenses (out of 29) will have 6.5 point stabilization, while the others will give at least five points.

And, if the user does not find it enough, it is possible to activate digital stabilization. However, this will cut the picture frame by 10%.

On recording, the Fujifilm X-T4 keeps 4K resolution video and 60 frames per second (fps) with a maximum bit rate of 400Mbps. Another feature present the 240fps super slow motion mode in 1080p resolution.

A third novelty is that the film mode now has its own space on one of the X-T4's dials. In the same vein, the camera separates recording and photography settings and preferences – that is, there is no need to change the menus every time you change modes.

And the autofocus is the same as the Fujifilm X-T3, with 425-point phase detection. However, the new machine received new algorithms and promises to be more accurate in tracking eyes and faces.

The N 2 highlight of this camera is LCD touchscreen, which became a flip display and offers a higher resolution: 1.62 million points (X-T3 has 1.04 million). The mobile system has also changed a bit compared to the previous model: while in T3 it was only possible to tilt the small screen upwards, in T4 it is necessary to pull it to the side first.

Single-use QuickSnap cameras can also be damaged by scanners

The electronic viewfinder (EVF) has remained largely unchanged, but has new priority modes that change without behavior:

– The mode of priority increase in low light helps to reduce contrasts and improve vision; resolution priority reveals more details; e- The mode of frame rate priority changes the EVF to 100fps.

It is worth remembering that these modes only change the electronic viewfinder. The images will remain unchanged

And in addition to all that, the Fujifil X-T4 shutter has been restructured to be quieter and Fujifilm has also added a new film simulation mode Eterna Bleach Bypass. But, the headphone jack no longer exists – there is a 3.5mm USB-C adapter in the camera housing to compensate.

Fujifilm X-T4 will be available individually for $ 1,699 (about R $ 7,550 in direct conversion) or in the following kits:

– Camera + 18-55m lens per $ 2,099; – Camera + lens 16-80mm by $ 2,199.
