After the Internet, fuel prices can, starting this Saturday, be consulted using the cell phone or using the GPS system.
The availability of the service, free of charge, results from a set of partnerships established between the Directorate-General for Energy and Geology (DGEG) and various entities and covers the continental territory.
The information now provided via mobile reflects the one presented, since February 2009, through the DGEG’s website, where it is possible to consult the updated sales prices of IO 95 gasoline, IO 98 gasoline, road diesel, biodiesel and LPG Auto.
The same service also provides data on the location, opening hours and services available at each station.
«The objective now is to expand the ways of accessing this information and make it even more functional for use by the consumer, in situations of greater convenience, such as during the trip itself», says DGEG in a press release .
The organization also explains that, in order to offer the new service again, it will insert on its website a procedure that allows «registered entities» to obtain information from the «Online Fuel Prices» Web platform, without human intervention, in relation to service stations and respective prices charged by fuel type.
