Freecom announces first USB 3.0 hard drive, with 2TB capacity

While the final version of the USB 3.0 specification should only come out in 2010, what is already known about the new interface was enough to start popping up, in the last few weeks, the first products compatible with it. Perhaps the most interesting of all was the Hard Drive XS 3.0, the first USB 3.0 hard drive.

Developed by Freecom, the external drive will come in capacities of up to 2TB, with a data transfer rate reaching 130MB / s. The 3.5-inch HD offers backward compatibility with the USB 2.0 standard, which is great.

The Freecom Hard Drive XS 3.0 reaches the European market in November, starting at 120 euros (about R $ 320) in its smallest version, of 1TB.
