In 2012 we talked about the first version of CleanMyDrive, utility for managing external disks (put in this cake external HDD / SSD, SD cards, pendrives and even DMG files).
With it we can perform some simple tasks like making sure that they are always clean (eliminating unwanted / unnecessary files and folders both manually and automatically), ejecting all discs at once by clicking on a single button, monitoring the space occupied in each of them, etc.). For MacPaw recently released version 2.0 of it, adding interesting news in both visual and features.
To begin with, the user interface has been completely redesigned and now has light and dark themes (for those who like to use OS X like this). But, as I said, it wasn't just the look that changed.
Now we can easily see what types of files take up space on each disk and the amount used, drag files to CleanMyDrive to quickly copy them to another disk, choose to automatically eject the disks when the system rest starts (a way to keep your data safe), view notifications both when mounting and ejecting discs, hiding discs from the disc list (if you want), and you can also assign hand-made icons to the discs to differentiate them (available via in-app purchase) .
I already used CleanMyDrive and now, with version 2, everything is even better. Free, there's nothing to think about: try it!
