France Telecom and Intel signed a memorandum of understanding for the design and joint development of new solutions within the scope of the digital home concept, the companies announced in a statement.
The aim is to come up with new solutions in the wireless that explore the concept of connectivity in the home that allow to increase and increase the penetration and use of image, video, music, photos and games functionalities, through different devices such as TV, HI-FI, Multimedia PCs, game consoles, among others others.
Under the terms of the agreement, companies undertake to make their technical resources available, placing research teams to work together. Also shared will be the financial effort combined with the projects to be carried out and the sharing of intellectual property that results directly from the joint work.
Intel has been signing agreements of a similar scope with several entities, including governments in some countries.
