According to the news agency Reuters, a Foxconn factory in Shandong, eastern China, caught fire today. Fortunately the fire was extinguished and no victims were recorded.
A company spokesman said the fire started on the roof of the electrical cables and that any damage would be covered by insurance.
This is not the first time that a Foxconn factory has faced such a problem. In May, an iPad factory located in Chengdu suffered an explosion resulting in 16 people injured and 2 killed.

According to M.I.C Gadget, several people evacuated the building while firefighters arrived on the scene. According to the Chinese media report, the explosion / fire was caused by a malfunction of a machine that sprays paint. Well, as I said, the lesser of evils, since no one got hurt. The factory in question has 80,000 employees and would be responsible for the manufacture of PCs, Sony notebooks, computer components and printers as far as is known, no Apple products.
