Apple’s long-awaited adaptation to the trilogy «Foundation» («Foundation»), by Isaac Asimov, finally hired the actors who will play the main roles of the production.

As the description suggests, Asimov’s work was one of George Lucas’s main inspirations in creating «Star Wars».
There is still no more information about the series, which should take a while before debuting – after all, it still needs to go through all phases of production and post-production until it reaches our retinas and ears.

Meanwhile, the CEO of Disney, Bob Iger (who recently left Apple’s board of directors), said he was not concerned that Apple TV + will be cheaper than its streaming, also to come Disney + – in the United States, the Apple service will cost US $ 5 per month, while the Mickey platform will cost US $ 7 per month.
THE CNBC, Iger credited self-confidence to the fact that, according to him, Disney + is «very different» from any other service.

If this strategy will work, then we will have to wait and see.

The trajectory of planning and discussing service plans has come a long way.
For years, Apple already had the idea of launching own series, and even had a project involving the actor Keanu Reeves; initial conversations, however, did not go forward.
The production of the series «Vital Signs», about rapper and executive Dr.
Dre, was canceled – because Apple insisted on applying its own “aesthetics” and philosophy to productions and avoiding explicit content of violence, sex or drug use.
Things only got on track when Apple hired Zack Van Amburg and Jamie Erlicht, in 2017.
They were the ones who attracted Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon with the project of «The Morning Show», the series «Flagship» that initial moment of Apple TV +; the executives promised to produce two seasons of the series and offered more than $ 250 million in budget without even recording a pilot.
The actresses themselves received more than $ 1 million per episode, an almost unprecedented number in the television industry.
According to Bloomberg, Apple’s initial appeal on adult content has been softened.
