Yesterday Facebook announced news for Messenger, which includes its own application ecosystem. One of these applications Fotor for Messenger, a photo editor dedicated to Messenger.
Fotor for Messenger was one of the first apps announced by Zuckerberg yesterday during F8. It's a great image editing application, and the dedicated version for Messenger seems to be just a standard version update.
The application is quite complete with many editing options. You can choose photos stored on your Android, take photos or make a collage. Once the image has been chosen, it only applies the various filters, effects, frames, text, stickers, as well as changing brightness, contrast, saturation, etc. As expected, there is also an in-app store.
Only after saving the image that you notice with Messenger integration: you can save the image in Fotor album or send it directly to any Messenger contact. All simple and completely integrated. Upon receiving the image, the contact is given the option to install Fotor for Messenger on their Android as well.
It seems like the idea behind the Messenger platform is to bring and share apps that somehow enhance the experience of using Facebook Messenger. A photo editing app certainly fits these features.
However, Fotor for Messenger is more than just an app for "face" messaging, it's a great, simple-to-use and quite complete photo editor. He light and fast, I just had a few chokes here and there.
