Consultant Forrester Research announced the acquisition of rival JupiterResearch and its parent company, JUPR Holdings, from MCG Capital for $ 23 million in cash.
According to Forrester, the merger of the two companies complements its performance in the market. This is because both companies focus their activity on consulting the IT market.
In a statement, Forrester explains that by the beginning of next year, the JupiterResearch team and services will be integrated into its structure, as well as the acquired company’s client portfolio.
It remains to be added that Forrester’s annual revenues in 2007 amounted to $ 212 million while JupiterResearch’s did not exceed $ 14 million.
