By announcing an integration with Waze, Ford aims to allow access to the application in an easy and convenient way, with the operation made by voice commands or touch the capacitive screen.
Waze, a popular real-time navigation and traffic information application, will soon be available for your vehicles equipped with the SYNC 3 media center.
“Our goal is to bring technology to the car with a people-centered approach, making it as easy as possible to integrate the tools they use most,” says Don Butler, Ford’s director of Vehicles and Connected Services.
“With the flexibility of the SYNC 3 and Applink software, customers will be able to use Waze with ease to get all the navigation and traffic directions they need on a large screen and without having to touch their phones while driving.”
Simply plug your smartphone into the car’s USB port to project Waze on the screen and use all its features. This includes access to recent updates, such as «Talk to Waze», which allows you to control the «app» by voice commands.
