It was reported today that the PSP filed a lawsuit against the authors of the ACAB blog, after discovering that they published photographs and addresses of police officers who routinely accompany football fans to stadiums in Portugal.
The blog assumes itself as a space against police violence inside football stadiums and, in the words of the authors of the space, it serves to fight “against the Repression of Modern Football Agents (Club Directors, FPF, Liga, ACAB, etc. .) ”And to“ denounce these atrocities ”.
In the various posts of ACAB, the acronym for «All Cops Are Bastards», it is possible to read some less pleasant real situations involving supporters and police officers, or see some photographs of the authorities on duty.
The fact that one of the images is accompanied by the official’s address and threats of aggression, led the Police Professionals Union to react by stating that the photos shown are “extremely serious and demonstrate that some elements of the football fanclub do not look at the means to achieve the ends ”.
The Union of Police Professionals has already requested the intervention of the PSP command and the Government, through the Ministry of Internal Administration, to remove the images from the blog.
