Flipboard and Nike + Running arrive on Android

After a long journey as exclusive iOS apps, the developers of Flipboard and Nike + have announced that their creations will also be officially offered to users of the Google platform, Android.

Flipboard has been following its migration to Android for some time. Competitor of Google Currents, Flipboard offers an easy and beautiful way to follow content over the internet.

In addition to web pages and feeds, the application also allows you to follow various social networks like a social magazine, including Google+, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter profiles.

Flipboard is available for smartphones with Android 2.2 (or higher) and can be installed for free on the Google Play Store. Note: It is not yet optimized for tablets.

A wonderful surprise for Android fans. Nike finally announced the launch of its popular Nike + Running app on the platform of the cute little green robot.

Similar to running on iOS, Nike + allows you to map runs and track your users’ progress. It is also possible to share results and get the motivation of your friends on social networks.

The company also reports that no additional sensors or products are needed, just grab the smartphone and run. Nike + requires Android 2.3 (or higher) and is available free of charge from the Google Play Store.
