Fly Control with peer-to-peer

When launching the new OS 3.0 for the iPhone, Apple did not allow file exchange for bluetooth as many expected, but implemented a system for exchanging information between applications called Peer-to-Peer. It allows you to create games multiplayer (multiple players) connected by this network, something that previously was only possible through wi-fi and that made it impossible for two people to play with each other in places without wireless internet.

And now games that use this feature are starting to appear on the App Store. One of the first is the already known Flight Control, by Firemint.

Flight Control is a game whose objective is to control air traffic, organizing the landings of incoming planes and helicopters. I never mentioned it here because it is a game that annoys me a little. Perhaps because of my incompetence I never managed to save more than 33 planes. But there are a lot of people who like it.

When choosing the multiplayer option, you can connect to another device, dividing the aircraft.

See the multiplayer game in the video:

You can find the game on the Argentine or American App Store (link), because in Brazil there is no such category (see why here). The multiplayer application is not compatible with the first generations of the iPhone and iPod touch.

UPDATE (1:10 pm): yes, I didn’t understand, but playing it again I realized that the game actually allows you to send a certain type of airplane to the other device, like the red ones on one side and the yellow ones and helicopters on the other. Still, I don’t see much of an advantage in that.
