For those who like to study in a playful way, Memrise is a great alternative. The platform helps users, at a beginner or advanced level, to improve English and other languages. The games are free and are available on the website and also in applications for Android and iPhone (iOS). It is possible to take advantage of free time on public transport, for example, to study.

2. Learn English with exercises

My English Online is a fully virtual English course that focuses on developing the skills of reading, writing and understanding English grammar. The free program is offered by Idiomas sem Fronteiras (IsF), from the Ministry of Education. They can take the course without paying undergraduate and graduate students from Brazilian public and private higher education institutions that are partners in the program.

After completing the registration and taking a placement test, students can be classified into five levels: beginner, basic, pre-intermediate, intermediate and advanced. Students can access the material through videos, e-books, grammars and, to pass the level, must perform a series of exercises.

Many people can read and write in English satisfactorily, but need to improve the pronunciation of the language.
