The Huji Cam app simulates an analog camera on your mobile screen. The photos are captured with high saturation, a common configuration in film cameras, and even apply purposeful flaws in the lighting, which may present yellow or reddish beams in the image. The photographs also show a fake date of capture, initially marking the year 1998, but which can be changed in the application's settings.

To use the app, the user needs to leave the phone horizontal, as Huji Cam displays a tiny display on the screen, just as it did with the equipment of the past. Still, it is possible to enlarge the viewfinder to have a better view of the photo. To capture an image, just touch the main button. To view the photos with the effects, I need to click on the Lab icon.

Another option for capturing photos in this style is the Lomograph application, which has more retr filters that refer to old photographs, with grainy effects and high exposure to brightness. It is also possible to insert purposeful beams of light that present other shades, leaving the photos bluish, greenish and yellowish.

In this application, the user can apply the effects to photos in the gallery or images taken on the spot. The app also applies fake photo capture dates. To use, the user needs to choose between the Camera or Photo options, to take a photo or use a file from the gallery. Then, just choose from the filters on the bottom menu of the screen.

The older cameras did not have the high definition of the current devices, and presented grainy photos and low image quality. The Grain Cam application applies the grain effect to the photo, simulating outdated photos, leaving them with a retro style.

To apply the effects, just capture the photos and touch the buttons on the top menu of the screen. It is also possible to choose the level of grain, apply a black and white or white filter, in addition to increasing or decreasing the brightness of the photo.

With the Instants app, you can create a Polaroid photo effect using your cell phone camera or uploading files from the gallery. There are several models to leave the photo in style, with different height and width options, between free and paid items. It is possible to write a text that will be attached to the photo with a font that simulates a handwritten note, making the polaroid even more real. At the end, it is possible to change the color of the frame and apply light effects to save the image on the phone or send to social networks installed on the phone.

The VHS Cam app simulates an old camcorder, which recorded images on VHS tapes. The screen shows the traditional image with faults and drizzles, in addition to the recording data, such as the word play, a shooting time counter and the date and time, common items in the images of that time and that can be manually configured for any day, ms and year.
