1. Clean up social media

Start 2018 with a general cleanup on your social media profiles. Remove friends and acquaintances who do not add important information to the feed, and stop following pages that do not offer relevant content for the day to day. Some automated tools help to accomplish the task across multiple platforms.

Here’s how to clean up and report Facebook posts, and remove followers on Instagram. On YouTube, a valuable tip is to remove uninteresting videos from history to teach Google’s algorithm to recommend better quality content. It is also worth creating filters for subjects that you no longer wish to see in the feed, such as news about politics or football, with the Social Fixer extension.

2. Use the Internet to see positive things

After clearing the feed of your networks, it is important to follow new pages and people with more relevant content according to your interests for 2018. On Instagram, start following hashtags to receive posts from unknown people, but that deal with topics of interest to you . Don’t forget to give less famous social media a try, like Pinterest, which allows you to follow inspiring profiles.

3. Organize your schedules

Bet on apps to help you not lose more time for meetings, appointments and other appointments. Google Calendar has recently been revamped and has several useful functions for organizing time. It is possible, for example, to create and manage multiple calendars at the same time. Google Maps is another app that helps with the task of saying the best time to leave the house, pointing out the departure time of bus lines and even finding out the peak hours of establishments.

Another tip is to use Google Assistant on your phone more often to receive important reminders. The tool can even use your location to issue a GPS-based alert. For that, just say the command “Ok, Google, remember to call the garage when you get home”, for example. Customize the reminder body as you like and remember to set your home address beforehand.

On the cell phone, the program allows you to create lists with a checkbox, voice recording, drawing and images. In addition, it has a text recognition system written in photos, ideal for annotating the board’s content in the classroom. On the computer, the Keep extension helps you capture web content on a quick note, and turn everything into a Google Docs document.
