1. Create collaborative playlist

Step 1. Open the Spotify app on your Android and select the «Your Library» button. Then, go to «Playlists». Choose one of your playlists and tap the menu button with a three dot icon next to it.

Step 2. Select «Make collaborative». An on-screen alert will confirm the action on your Spotify. Your friends and followers can now add, delete and rearrange tracks.

2. Find music by scanning the code on Spotify

Step 1. A quick way to find a song or referral from a friend is by scanning the song code, artist, playlists and more on Spotify. To do this, touch the «Search» button and then the camera icon. Confirm with «Scan».

Step 2. A Spotify code reader, which uses the phone’s camera, will open. Just point to a code on another phone or computer. If you prefer, select an image saved in the Android gallery. In both cases, the artist, track, playlist or other action shared with you will be automatically displayed in the app.

Step 1. The resource for users premium allows you to listen only to songs downloaded on Spotify. So, you don’t run the risk of spending your 3G / 4G mobile Internet on your smartphone. To activate, touch the «Your Library» menu and select the «Settings» button at the top right. Finally, turn the key on next to «Offline mode» leaving it in the green position.

Remember that you can only be offline for 30 days.

4. Filter your music playlists

Step 1. The Spotify filter on Android is «hidden» in the app and many users are unaware of its existence. To solve this, we will explain how to find it. To do this, open the «Your library» category and tap «Playlists». Now, to reveal the «Filter», drag the screen from top to bottom.

Step 2. You can enter keywords directly in the search field or tap the filter menu to display the categories «Downloads», «Custom», «Name» (alphabetical order) or «Recently played». In this example, we find all the playlists downloaded on Android. To return to the full list, select «Remove filters».

The same filter can be used on the screens of songs, artists and albums.

5. Activate and use «Behind the Lyrics»

Step 1. The «Behind the Lyrics» feature shows the story and curiosities behind your favorite Spotify songs, when available. To activate it, go to the «Your Library» category and select the «Settings» button at the top right. Then, activate the switch next to «Behind the Lyrics».

Step 2. Now, every time the function is available, a card will be displayed behind the image that illustrates the album of the song. When you touch it, curiosities will be displayed sequentially while you hear the sound.
